This volume invites you to get across one of the most fertile fields of knowledge of recent decades in the social sciences that explores the progressive construction of the self, through increasingly complex interactions with the „other”. Thus, social cognition represents a meeting knot of various ways of decoding dynamics of personality, integrating debates on social rationality and the ultimate motives of human behaviors, resulting from the metabolism of a tradition of over a century in social psychology, but also from the contaminations of recent years coming from neuroscience, the evolutionary perspective and the cultural perspective of understanding personality in a social context.
